Job Details

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management and Upgrading of NIX – work with all member representatives to ensure reliable, accurate and timely data reporting to Network Information Exchange or NIX, CMA sector-wide reporting platform. Ensure that NIX are technologically friendly; yet, powerful and sophisticated to meet the evolving needs of quality and reliable data analytic.
  • Manage and lead the research: responsible for identifying, managing, and coordinating all research activities (quantitative and qualitative) of CMA including the work and meeting of CMA research advisory committee.
  • Data analysis and report – collect, verify and analyze data relevant to the sector or supervise data collection, tabulate and analyze data. Develop report based on findings and as required to promote financial inclusion, represent the interest of the sector and sustainability of CMA.
  • Publication and Communication: Conduct and prepare case study, summary research findings and produce article/blog post that could contribute to positive impact of the sector. Communicate the findings to identified stakeholders through appropriate means including but not limited to lecture or presentation.
  • Maintaining and enhancing website and other communication channels of CMA– ensure up-to-date and relevant information are shared on CMA website in friendly and easy to access manner and through other channels for CMA members, partners and public. Work to raise awareness and improve understanding of CMA and microfinance knowledge to the public and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master Degree in information technology, development studies or other discipline related to research and statistic
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in research and data analysis (preferably in financial sector)
  • Practical experience in data intelligence and statistical software such as SPSS, SATA, or Tableau, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and critical analysis skill
  • Good command of English speaking and writing

Desired attributes:

  • Experience in writing article, blogpost or research paper for the public is an added advantage
  • Innovative mindset, capacity to learn and explore new research and knowledge dissemination methods.
  • Strong interest in and affiliation with data analysis and usage, Big Data, capacity building, innovation, (organizational) learning and change management – working with and is supported by CMA partners
  • Knowledge of website administration, training will be provided.

CMA is recognized by National Bank of Cambodia and is part of the Association of Banks in Cambodia. Currently, CMA has more than 94 members operating in 25 provinces.
