Job Introduction

Plan, lead and monitor overall procurement activities to ensure all procured goods and services are delivered on time, cost effectively and with quality.

Job Description

  • Develop and review procurement policy, processes, procedures and guideline to ensure procurement effectiveness and protect Amret against corruption and fraud along with keeping up with the use of stationery

  • Respond to internal and external audit findings regarding procurement processes and take corrective action

  • Work with relevant departments and branches to develop annual procurement plan and cascade the plan to the staff member responsible, follow up, resolve problems and make the plan happen

  • Forecast and prepare some types of budget for investments/reinvestments and expenses for all branches and head office

  • Track monthly actual investments/reinvestments and expenses against budget and provide explanation for significant differences

  • Handle big procurements and/or any projects considered at high risk of corruption/failure and/or first trial projects, such as car purchase, projection work, and production

  • Review contracts/agreements based on the type of product/service ensuring they comply with Amret requirements

  • Check stock of stationery and equipment to ensure it is consistent with stock control report and stored properly while waiting to be sent to branches and users

  • Monitor all procurement activities to ensure anti-corruption and anti-fraud compliance and satisfaction with services provided by procurement team

  • Manage the procurement team by providing guidance and coaching and building individual competencies to nurture a high performance (quality of work and agreements) culture.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent

  • Very good knowledge of English language, ability to speak and write well, especially writing procurement contracts/agreements, and willingness to improve

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in procurement and admin with more than 2 years in management role

  • Good computer literacy

  • High responsibility with strong analytical skills and willing to work under pressure.
