Job Details

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the overall achievement of branch sales and service goals
  • Responsible for the overall sales and marketing activities at the branch, including promotional campaigns and new product roll-outs
  • Leads by example modeling the behaviors of the GOLDEN rule; communicates the rule, encourages, motivates and requires all staff adherence to the same

    Ensures that quality customer service is provided in a professional, prompt and courteous manner

  • Ensure portfolio quality is controlled at all times
  • Identifies customer needs and appropriately recommends products and services
  • Responds to customer inquiries and/or complaints taking the necessary actions to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Develops and maintains relationships with all relevant community government officials, and local authorities
  • Participates in community activities promoting AMK's brand and visibility
  • Identifies target markets; develops and implements a branch expansion strategy
  • Ensures the branch’s operational integrity; monitors potential risks and reports suspicious activities and/or violations promptly
  • Assigns and delegates responsibilities to branch staff and holds them accountable for meeting standards of production, accuracy and completion
  • Responsible for planning and continuously monitoring staff level requirements, participating in recruitment and selection, daily scheduling of branch staff, providing for and/or coordinating training and development, completing performance appraisals, resolving staff conflicts, disciplining and participating in the rewards and recognition decision-making process
  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of all recordkeeping requirements and delivery of all operational and management reports required
  • Responsible for the full and effective compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements as well as AMK’s policies, procedures, practices, guidelines, directives, internal controls and/or instructions applicable to cash management, lending, deposit, money transfer, risk management, human resources, and any and all other areas relevant to branch management, operations and performance
  • Takes the necessary measures to provide for the safety and security of staff, customers and branch assets
  • Monitors the physical appearance and condition of the entire branch facility and, when necessary, procures the internal and/or external service providers needed for maintenance and repair,

Qualification and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business (banking, finance, accounting, economics or marketing)
  • Three years experience in sales and operations in the microfinance industry
  • Two years of experience in management and staff supervision
  • Prior business development experience required, microfinance or banking industry preferred
  • Good personal computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software applications; working knowledge of MIS for the microfinance industry
  • Working proficiency in English
