Business Development Manager (BDM) specializes in improvement of the company’s market position, maintaining extensive knowledge of current market condition to support financial growth. H/She is responsible for strategic planning to support the sale growth.  Persons involved in business development must in depth of market knowledge, identify business opportunities, build key customer relationships, negotiate and close business deals

Roles and Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Initiate and develop growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Lead in preparing strategies to drive the sale team to achieve corporate target
  • Conduct research to identify new market and customer’s needs
  • Plan approaches and pitches, work with relevant teams to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Participate in pricing and solutions
  • Prospect for potential new network and turn this into increased business
  • Assist in developing strategic relationship with members or potential members
  • Assist in design term of business agreement

Sale Management 

  • Be the business consultant in introducing CBC’s solutions to help customers better managing their business
  • Seek opportunity to cross sell existing and new solutions to members
  • Communicate new products/solutions to customers
  • Closely follow up on users’ experience and problem with members who subscribed CBC’s solutions to ensure customers’ satisfaction
  • Handle all customers’ complaints and investigate
  • Assist in forecast sale target and ensure they are met with plan
  • Working closely with Relationship Team to ensure the accurate weekly progress sale reports and submitted within a timely manner
  • Present business development training and mentoring to other departments internal staff

Business Development Planning

  • Analyze market, competitors, industry against the company current position and propose plan in response to the business trend
  • Develop campaigns and distribution channels that lead for sales growth
  • Attend industry functions to ensure updates of market information/trend

Essential skills & experience

  • Holds a Master Degree of Business Management with minimum two years relevant work experience;
  • Experience working with business development and sale management
  • Good knowledge of bank, microfinance and leasing sector
  • An out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable to a dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative and pay close attention to detail;
  • Honesty, reliability, and a commitment to strict confidentiality;
  • Is self-motivated and committed to self-improvement; and
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite
